Graduate Recruit Alumni Society

The Graduate Recruit Alumni Society Inc. (GRAS) is a not-for-profit members’ organisation for graduates and alumni in the Victorian public sector (VPS).

Our volunteer committee work with and for our community to support a stronger social and professional network within the graduate and alumni community. Through our commitment to diversity and equality, we are actively engaged in promoting and maintaining a safe and inclusive environment for all of our members.

Originally established in 1998 as a social club for participants of the VPS Graduate Recruitment and Development Scheme (GRADS), GRAS has expanded widely in the last 20 years and now supports over 600 graduates and alumni from the various graduate and internship programs across the VPS.

GRAS is a not-for-profit organisation that has no political affiliation and does not directly form part of the VPS. For more information, visit our About Us page.

HEAR FROM OUR MEMBERS

Skyla Duotone.png

GRAS opened me up to a whole new world of people and opportunity I wouldn't have found otherwise. I also was able to take part on the committee, contributing to projects that increased my skill-set and added to my experience.

Skyla Morrison, 2019 Graduate

Taking full advantage of the networking and professional development opportunities offered by GRAS is one of the best things I have done for my personal and professional development as a Victorian public servant.

Shaan Bajwa, 2014 Graduate

I have made professional connections as well as friendships which make up a big part of my support system at work. Volunteering as a GRAS committee member also added another level to my professional development and I would recommend it to anyone considering applying.

Julia Heagerty, 2015 Graduate
